-1- REPENTANCE & RENEWAL OF OUR MIND, do we live it? Or are we just talking about it?
17 From
that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven
is at hand. (Matthew 4:17)
5 'No, I
tell you, but if you do not repent, you will all likewise perish. (Luke 13: 3)
2 And be
not conformed to this age, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind,
that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
(Romans 12: 2)
-2- CONFESSION, are we living it? Or are we
just talking about it?
13 He who
conceals his sins will not prosper, but he who confesses and forsakes them will
have mercy. (Proverbs 28:13)
18 And many
of them that believed were coming publicly, confessing and professing their
deeds. (Archbishop Confessing and announcing their deeds in Ephesus) (Acts
19:18)
16 Confess
your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed.
The prayer of law that is made fervently is very valid. (James 5:16)
-3- FORGIVENESS, do we live it? Or are we just
talking about it?
12 and
forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us (Matthew
6:12).
23 If you
forgive the sins of some, they are forgiven them; if you hold the sins of
others, they are forgiven. (John 20:23)
32 Be ye
therefore merciful one to another, forgiving one another, even as God also in
Christ forgave you. (Ephesians 4:32)
-4- HOLINESS, do we live it? Or are we just
talking about it?
16 He is
not of the world, even as I am not of the world. 17 Sanctify them in your
truth. Your word is truth. 18 'As you sent me into the world, so I sent them
into the world. 19 And for their sake I sanctify Myself, that they too may be
sanctified in the truth; (John 17: 16-19)
3 For this
is the will of God, your sanctification, to abstain from fornication 4 Let each
one of you know how to keep his own vessel in sanctification and honor 5 Not in
the lust of desire, as the nations, they know God. 6 Let no man exalt himself,
nor wrong his brother in this matter: for God is avenger of all these things,
as we told you before, and have testified of them. 7 For God did not call us to
uncleanness, but to sanctification. 8 Wherefore whosoever shall transgress
after these things, saith not man, but God, who also gave us the Holy Ghost. (1
Thessalonians 4: 3-8)
13 But we
ought always to thank God for you, beloved brethren of the Lord, that God hath
chosen you from the beginning to be saved through the sanctification of the
Spirit, and through the faith of the truth; enjoy the glory of our Lord Jesus
Christ. (II Thessalonians 2: 13,14)
-5- GOOD WORKS, are we living them? Or are we
just talking about them?
3 All
things, therefore, whatsoever they shall say unto you, that ye observe, and
observe, and do them; (Matthew 23: 3)
10 For we
are his creation, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath
prepared for us to walk in them. (Ephesians 2:10)
4 'But I
have something against you, because you left your first love. 5 Remember then,
whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works, lest I come quickly
to thee, and I will move thy lamp from its place, except thou repent.
(Revelation 2: 4.5)
-6- UNIT, do we live it? Or are we just talking
about it?
20 And I
pray not only for them, but also for them that believe on me through their
word; that they all may be one, even as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee,
that they also may be one; in unity with Us so that the world may believe that
You sent Me. 22 And I, the glory which you have given Me, I have given to them
to be One, as We are One; 23 I in unity with them, and You in unity with Me so
that it may be in a complete unity, and that the world may know that You sent
Me, and you loved them as you loved Me; (John 17: 20-23)
1 I beseech
you therefore, prisoner, for the sake of the Lord, to walk worthy of his
invitation by which you were called, 2 with all humility and meekness, with
longsuffering, suffering one another with love; the unity of the Spirit through
the bond of peace. 4 One body and one Spirit, as you were called with one hope
of your calling 5 one Lord, one faith, one baptism 6 One God and Father of all,
who is above all, and through you all, and in you all; . (Ephesians 4: 1-6)
-7- LOOKING FOR THE LORD, do we live it? Or are
we just talking about it?
28 Didn't
you meet? Have you not heard that the eternal God, the Lord, the Creator of the
ends of the earth, does not fade, and does not fade away? His wisdom is not
traced. 29 Gives strength to the weak, and increases strength to the weak. 30
But the young men shall fade away, and be weary, and the chosen young men shall
be utterly weakened. they will fade. (Isaiah 40: 28-31)
11 For the
saving grace of God hath been manifested unto all men; the surface of the glory
of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ 14 Who gave Himself for our sake, to
redeem us from all iniquity, and to cleanse us for His sake a chosen people,
zealous for good works. 15 Say these things, and exhort, and control with all
authority, let no one despise you. (Titus 2: 11-15)
